Johnny Kringas
Kringas Wins First Race of 2016
Davenport Speedway, IA
One day before his High School graduation and with family that had never seen Johnny race he scored his first victory of 2016.
His Aunt Mary Jo and Cousin Owen traveled to Illinois from Coeur D' Alene, ID and Spokane, WA then drove to Davenport IA to watch Johnny race for the first time ever.
His Aunt Lora and Uncle Tomi, Cousins Casey and Amber from Geneseo IL, also traveled to see Johnny Race.
Mom, Lisa and Brother Georgie also came from Homer Glen IL.
Mickey Kudlicki was on the phone calling, numerous times during the evening to make certain everything was OK.
Johnny started the race deep in pack, raced up to 2nd place for most of the race where he finished. The car that finished in front of Johnny failed post-race inspection in tech and Johnny was awarded the win.
It was a great way to celebrate with family and added to a special weekend when Johnny walked across the stage at Lockport Township High School to receive his Diploma.
This “Race for A Cause” was sponsored by Warren Ropp of Bulltown Legends to raise money and awareness for the C.O.P.S. program that supports the surviving members of Police Officers killed in the line of duty. This is just one of many races of the season Warren will put on this season for the C.O.P.S. program.
Johnny has raced in many C.O.P.S. races over the past three seasons, displayed on his car are the names of two fallen police officer James Sauter an Illinois State Police officer and Timothy Simenson of Crest Hill Police Dept.
